My First Blog
I don't know what to really write right now. I've never blogged before and I don't really know why people do it. The phone was made for a reason, so we can talk to each other freely, well at least most of the time. What's the big deal about it? Why do people do it? And what makes it so special? If your a person who blogs a lot, can you answer my questions to get more into it, I mean help me understand the meaning of blogging and how it contributes to other people and to the world.

Blogging is a virtual diary. It's better though, because it's a lot harder to break into. It feels relieving to blog.
Plus, virtual hearts just don't look right on paper! <3
matt is an idiot who doesn't know the beauty of blogging. I don't know the beauty of blogging, it's pointless, but it is a cool to use in class.
I've never exactly posted blogs either so I'm just as new as you are right now(:
but yeah, i agree that phones are useful nowadays but blogs are basically like a diary sorta thing. You can say whatever you are feeling and in time, you'll get replies and feedback from other people, like what I'm doing right now.
My opinion about blogging is that it is pretty much the equivalent to email. Therefore, it is just another way to talk to people on the internet. So there is no real purpose to it lol.
I've never really blogged before yesterday. And before yesterday I thought exactly the same thing you did, what is the point in blogs? But seeing Matt T's personal blog answered my question. Blogs are a great place just to vent out what your feeling, your thoughts, and just opinions about things. It's like an online diary! But not so chilidish? If that sounds right... =]
agree with you, this is also my first time blogging and I'm left with the question in my head "why do people blog?" I guess blogging is the modern way of communication.
I agree with you entirely, Matt! People should use things like Myspace and Facebook for this kind of virtual chat. My idea of blogging is just a virtual journal where you can let people read and enjoy your personal thoughts that you feel like posting on this site. Getting to my point, blogging is for journals not for chatting and such.
When you're as cool as me, you need to start crying.

I go through the same struggle as you I don't really like blogging and it is a first for me. I prefer the phone way over the computer, but over time I think it will get easier for all of us :)
Blogging is a fun way to talk about your day or rant about stuff
well, I agree with what some other people said, that blogging is like a diary, just on the computer. When I'm doing it in class, where others can read my blog, I wont really treat it like a diary, but here it's just like warm-up journal thing, but not on paper. Save the environment and all that :)
Yes the phone is easier and I like it way better than the computer, but for accelerated English, it's best. We can all talk and see what other's are thinking.
Ive never really blogged before but I think Im going to like it. Its kind of like the idea of a virtual diary. Except you get feedback from other people.
yeah I agree with what most of the others have said, about blogging just being an online diary. But, I;m guessing people just do it to vent without actually talking to another person. In my opinion I honestly could live without blogging. But, I like you post. :]]
I absolutly agree. I don't fully understand the significants of Blogs. People probably use them to get their opinions out in the virtual world. Personally I like to write everything, my ideas flow better on paper rather than into some computer.
I agree with some people that it is like a diary, but i still don't know why people blog.
I fell that it is just a fad it is newer and more exiting than the phone. It is all about what is new. Just like the I-Phone every body wants one but is so much more special than a normal do nothing phone. It seems to me like when something new comes along every body dose it (to the extreme) no matter how stupid it is. Any way that is my thought on the matter.
Blogging is for people that don't have people at home or family to talk to. Sometimes people want to be heard and the way they do it is writing. It can be harder to talk to people in person. Maybe they want to be anonymous.
Blogging for some people is a lifestyle, somehthing that you do for yourself. It's done so people can express their feelings and opinions in a healthy way. Not only that, but it's kind of cool to read what other people are thinking and then respond to it. Not only that, by Matteo is right, virtual hearts just aren't the same on paper. lol
:]
You know, I think that blogging helps to let all your anger and issues out there. Yes, it's true how we have telephones but sometimes when you call somebody up you have to talk to them and not allow any awkward pauses to take place. Plus, every time I am on the phone, my mom calls me or I have to do something and I keep telling the person to hold on a minute. I think that blogging is the best way to talk to somebody and listen to what they have to say. It's better to hear more than one person's opinions than constantly the same person. Plus, I think it's really fun. I am enjoying it!!! I agree with Cindy about this issue too.
blogging is a great way to interact with others. It's just great because it gives you that advantage to see what others opinions are. Also you see whta going on with others. you read about their feelings. The great or bad things that happens to them.
The significant of “blogging” is to unite people together. People around the world definitely don’t speak the same language; therefore, they cannot talk to each other freely on the phone. Writing would be a better way for people to communicate. We also look at the issue in another aspect. A person, for instance, doesn’t have access to internet.
Blogs are meant to be used as a a way for people to talk about themselves or express their opinions on different subject, but it is mostly used for corresponding with friends and other bloggers. By having a blog, you can respond to another's thoughts or feelings and have a conversation that results in realizing something new. Therefore, blogs are useful for broadening your vision and learning about new things.
I've had a few blogs before but I've always deleted them after a few months because I didn't have anything interesting to say.
Well yea just like a lot of other people said.. this is my first time blogging too and phones are a little more simple, but there so ordinary. To me blogging is exciting and sometimes people speak their thoughts more if the person isn't right in front of them and it's just online. It might sound a little weird but that's just my opinion and some people ave nobody to talk to things about, so blogging gives them the opportunity to.
I've never blogged in my life yesterday was my first day. I don't see the point. Well i sort of think its alright but its just watev, it's really not my thing, I prefer the phone.
Sup Matt... yeah so im like you and mostly everyone else, this is my first time blogging too...i think its pretty cool so far... you can say whatever you want and some people could read it and if they you guys want, you could have a discussion with each other....
you could use this like a myspace haha or as in other peoples words, a diray...
I agree with most people here that this is like a diary, but people get to actually read it.
I think the reason why we blog is because we or some people need to vent. And this is one way to vent. Me I think this is a good way even though everyone can read it!
What Jeffrey said "blogging" is like a ancient art form that only the "kool" people back in the day knew and now the normal people are finally using.
I also agree with matteo, I always wanted to know what other people thoughts were about.
I thought hearts looked like
E>
well, I've never blogged before either. But i think it's like facebook and myspace, just another way for communication. I agree that people can talk freely through phones, but a lot of people spend more time on myspace than on phone...it saves more money too :]
I dont really know what the point of blogging is. This is my first time having a blog just like you. I think that it might be a way for people to share what they think without having to say stuff in person.
I knew what a blog was from what people told be but was always a little scared to try it out myself. Now that I understand more what blogging is about I agree with it more. No one technically has to know who you are and you are allowed to express yourself!
To "blog" is just a way to voice your opinions with out people judging you to harshly. I mean if you were to voice your opinions at school, some classmates mignt not want to be your friends. But if you blog, then what can they do cyber bully you? Oh and I also agree with Cindy.
Sometimes, When I Go Up To People And Try To Say Whatever Has Been On My Chest, I Like..Freeze Up, And Just Get The Giggles, Or Make A Joke. You May Not Have The Same Problem, But When You Write Things Out, It's Such A Relief! People Can See How Ya Feel, And Plus, You Don't Have To Worry About Your Voice Cracking, Or Like Getting The Giggles. Blogging Just Gets Everything Out Perfectly, In My Opinion! (=
In a way i agree with you. One of my teachers once talked about the internet and how she thought it seemed to ruin peoples person skills. By talking on line you do have all the time you want to think about what you say, and thats a good thing. However i also think that people should be able to think about what they want to say and need to say as situations hit them.
I think blogging is an open way to express how your feeling that day or something that really struck you, weather its 3:00 and you just feel like talking or 2am and you need to get something out of your head. Talking face to face is grate when you have the person there that you need to talk to. And when there not the phone is a grate substitute, but when those two are not avalible you have blogging!
I am not exactly one who should really be commenting on a topic like this since I am also new to blogging, but there seems to be a certain joy to being able to say something, and knowing that other people out there will know what you have said. It is similar to debates or discussions where everyone has a somewhat educational experience, no matter what is being said, because each person has their own point of view and when others learn it they each leave with a new outlook on the topic and eventually there ideas may change, or they may just be strengthened,
You blog so that you are not having a one sided conversation with yourself. I mean I personally would rather write out my opinion and then have someone respond. So basically blogs are virtual conversations. I think that makes since because this is also the way that I reasoned with myself for doing this for something other than a grade.
As I thought about your questions, I ask myself these questions, too. It is also my first time to blog. In my opinion, I think that we blog to tell what we think, and what we do. To set our mind out instead of just keeping it in ourselves. You wrote that phone are useful and we can talk through it, but blogging is just a way that you can get all of your friends opinion in easy way. Why? Because when you talk on phone you don't talk to all of your friends, you talk to one of your friends.
*something.
oh and this was helllaaaaaaa long ago.
gagagagaga.
sad right?
